I am an adult and I despise that kind of disrespect. Moving on, this very sweet story is a non fictional story of several tenants in a building about to be razed for a new project.
A street thug is charged with intimidating the people out of the building. In desperation the older man cries out for help and soon extra terrestrials arrive to help by putting things that belong to people in the building back together.
This story has sad parts and some slightly shocking parts but it is not dark but a story of people helping each other in a crisis.
It ends well and the Actors while most have passed away did a great job bringing their characters to life. I highly recommend this one, if mostly for youthful minded adults.
It is a classic. Have always loved this movie and so glad I found it - and even happier finding out its closed captioned "CC" on the back of the cases - a very important issue for those that are hearing loss or deaf - - - we can't hear sounds, music, voice etc - - - maybe loud bangs and booms - vibration - - - but need captions or notes which people hate to write and some don't like to text either Thank you.
Smiles and Giggles. For those of us who watched Disney as kids today stare at their phones, this is a hoot. Old folks and a fantasy. Little guys against big guys.
Moral values and compromise. Ya know.. Teens will like it if they'er close to Grandparent. It's a feel good movie My 50 year old watched it If your child is under the age of 3, has the IQ of a mushroom and never asks the question, "Why?
But if they've grown accustomed to anything resembling a satisfying plot, they'll be asking questions the answers to which you'll be forced to improvise.
The two leading actors, of course, were treasures of the American theatre. But this film is just a Happy Ending tacked on to a non-existent script.
This movie is so cute The story is your typical New York survival story and the fact that all of the characters share the same fate making them have to band together makes it fun since they are fighting against the man!
It is testament that we can make our own family no matter who we are If you haven't seen this do yourselves a favor and see it, you will be happy you did.

It's a convoluted plot that makes no sense, and the characters are paper thin. The robots have an interesting look, but they're not fleshed out either as they come and go for no particular reason.
