They manage to incapacitate a quadruped and discover that it has a biological interior. Sarah and her children meet Ash, an orderly, at a hospital.
They find Kariem recuperating there, and Ash orders them to get over their previous meeting. Emily and only Emily hears the alien pulses, which temporarily restore her sight.
Catherine is in shock when the alien pulses which she hears on equipment suddenly adds the song that she and her colleagues had once broadcast into space, confirming they attracted their attackers.
A pack of quadrupeds approach the hospital. Catherine finds the source of the sounds and Colonel Mokrani and his team go out to investigate.
Ash makes a very tough decision while Kariem saves lives. Sarah and her children have a close encounter with a cyborg.
Sacha finds a meteor site and hears strange noises. Helen and Bill are determined to find a way to destroy all quadruped bots. Kariem and Emily bond.
Chloe has to confront her past. Ash and Kariem return to the hospital and are startled by their finds.
Richard Clark. Patches of survivors find each other and team up. They all try to find a way to cope with their situation. The two go to Albania to test the ammunition and win the contract, though Efraim learns they severely underbid their competitors.
Iz, frustrated with David's lies, leaves to live with her mother. Preparing the shipment in Albania, David discovers virtually all the rounds are Chinese-made and illegal due to a US embargo ; to conceal this, Efraim has the ammunition repackaged.
Henry retaliates by having David kidnapped, beaten, and threatened at gunpoint; David wonders if his missing Albanian driver, Bashkim, has been killed.
David learns Efraim did not pay Enver, the Albanian handling the repackaging. David returns to working as a massage therapist and convinces Iz to move back in with him, telling her the truth about AEY.
Weeks later, Efraim and Ralph offer David a paltry severance package, and David threatens Efraim with evidence of his falsified company documents.
Efraim is sentenced to four years in prison for numerous crimes related to conspiracy and fraud on the Afghan deal, while David gets seven months' house arrest for his cooperation.
David asks Henry about the events of the deal, including Bashkim's fate, but Henry offers him a briefcase of money in exchange for "no more questions.
